🎯 When was the last time you had a true “first-time” experience? 🎯

In my mid-50s, those moments tend to become rarer. But some days ago, I had one: giving my first TED Talk at Hochschule München Hashtag#TEDxHM.

I had the opportunity to speak about one of my heart topics:
👉 How do we attract more Hashtag#women to Hashtag#STEM?

What I enjoyed most was the process itself – shaping the message, sharpening the core idea, and thinking about how to invite more allies into this conversation.

A few things made a real difference:
1️⃣ preparing as a team. Honest feedback along the way created clarity, confidence, and fresh energy.
2️⃣ mental training. Reminding myself that people came because they wanted to hear the idea helped me stay calm and present.
3️⃣ allowing myself time. Not rushing my thoughts, trusting pauses – something I want to take with me beyond this stage.

Looking back, I’m simply glad I said yes.

🫶 And I’m deeply grateful for the many personal messages afterward, sharing that the talk resonated and touched them. That feedback means a lot to me.

🤞 First-time experiences don’t disappear with age – sometimes, they just wait for us to say yes.
